Every motorcycle rider has a bucket list. And at the top of almost every list is the same name: Stelvio Pass. 2,757 meters of altitude. 48 hairpin turns on the Italian side alone. The highest paved mountain pass in the Eastern Alps. The road that every automotive magazine has called "the greatest driving road in the world."
This tour, organized by Adventure Motorcycle Tours Europe, doesn't just hit Stelvio — it collects every legendary Alpine pass in a single 15-day loop through Austria, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. It's 2,761 km of the most spectacular roads on Earth.
"Your mind is already playing tricks planning your next ventures." — That's how the tour description ends. They know what this ride does to people.
The Mountain Passes
This tour is a pass collector's dream. Here are the elevations you ride through:
- Stelvio Pass — 2,757m — The crown jewel. Highest paved mountain pass in the Eastern Alps. Narrow, technical, and absolutely legendary.
- Grossglockner — 2,504m — Austria's highest Alpine road. 48 km of sweeping views and engineered perfection.
- Albula Pass — 2,315m — Switzerland. Rough gorge, picturesque villages, and Alpine scenery that makes you forget you're on a motorcycle.
- Julier Pass — 2,284m — Roman road turned modern mountain pass. The descent into Italy is spectacular.
- Umbrail Pass — 2,501m — Highest paved road in Switzerland. Napoleon's troops marched over this pass. Now we ride it.

Stelvio — The Main Event
Stelvio Pass is not just a road — it's a test. 48 numbered hairpins on the Bormio side. Narrow lanes with sheer drops. Altitude that makes your engine wheeze and your ears pop. Snow walls in June. And at the summit, a view that makes you understand why people dedicate their lives to motorcycle travel.
The route approaches Stelvio from Trafoi, spending the previous night at the foot of the pass. You wake up, gear up, and ride straight into the most famous switchbacks in the world. Then you continue over Umbrail into Switzerland — because one legendary pass in a day isn't enough.
Venice on a Motorcycle
You can't ride a motorcycle in Venice — the whole city is on water. But arriving by motorcycle, parking on the mainland, and walking into the floating city after ten days of Alpine passes creates a contrast that's almost surreal. From 2,757m above sea level to 0m. From engine roar to the silence of canals.

Venice — from 2,757m Alpine passes to sea level canals. The contrast is surreal.

The Corsica-Sardinia tour is the dream of relaxation. This one is the dream of conquest. Six passes above 2,000 meters. Four countries. Venice, the Dolomites, and the Vienna opera houses on either end. If the Mediterranean tour is Dolce far Niente, this one is the symphony — loud, dramatic, and unforgettable.
The next departure is August 7, 2026. That's months away. The road is already calling.

Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the Dolomites — UNESCO World Heritage rock formations.
